Within todays society many students around the United States are taking these tests called Standardized Testing. Standardized testing is defined as a test that is given to students in a very consistent manner meaning that the questions on the test are all the same, the time given to each student is the same, and the way in which the test is scored is the same for all students. From a study done by Washington Post students take approximately 112 standardized tests between Kindergarten and 12th Grade.

Within civic education many students only take about two standardized tests.About four of those 112 approximate standardized tests are of government/civics learning course related. The others that our children take are in relation to state history and then country of residence. Here at Active Kids in PoL we need reform to this! Our children should be learning just as much above the government and our regulations in correlation to History they should be around the same amount. If the schooling systems want to have less governmental learning courses then we need to add it into our instructional time for electives.
